Second man remanded over transgender woman’s murder

The second man implicated in the murder of transgender woman, Shawn Anthony Simon was yesterday remanded to prison by acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty before whom he appeared virtually in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Shaggy Mohamed, 25, is accused along with Akeem Fraser, who was remanded on the same charge last week, of murdering Simon called `Coil Bottle’ on July 11th  2024 at South Road and King Street.

Mohamed was not required to plead to the indictable charge and he was remanded until August 12th  2024 for a report and statements.
