Thirty-year-old Yin Xin Zu, a travel agent employed at the Muneshwers Limited Travel Service, on Monday made a second appearance before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond Magistrates’ Court where she was granted bail in the sum of $400,000 on charges of possession of a firearm without a licence and possession of ammunition without a licence.
Zu had first appeared Magistrate Bess on Tuesday, July 16 where she was charged and remanded.
It was alleged that on July 9, she had in her possession, one 9mm Glock pistol, and 14 matching rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Zu pleaded not guilty to both charges.
At Monday’s hearing, she was granted bail in the sum of $250,000 on the firearm possession charge, and for the possession of ammunition charge, she was granted bail in the sum of $150,000, totalling the sum of $400,000 for the two charges.
Additionally, bail came with the condition that she reports on the first Monday of every month to CID headquarters.
