(Reuters) – Poland’s high jumper Norbert Kobielski has been suspended for the presence or use of a prohibited substance, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced yesterday, days before the Paris Olympic Games get underway.
The AIU said he tested positive for Pentedrone norephedrine metabolite, a banned substance, and that a notice of the allegation had been issued.
Kobielski won bronze at the European Games last year while he recorded a personal best of 2.33 metres at the Eugene Diamond League final event in September.
The men’s high jump event in Paris begins on Aug. 7.
