500 fisherfolk at Mon Repos will have improved working conditions – President

President Irfaan Ali yesterday announced plans to enhance the working conditions of some 500 fisherfolk at Mon Repos on the East Coast Demerara (ECD).

The head of state met with the fishermen and women in the community, where a number of issues were addressed, according to the Department of Public Information (DPI).

A construction project for an access road is set to commence in the upcoming week, fulfilling a commitment previously made by the head of state during a previous engagement.
