APNU+AFC MP David Patterson is to receive answers to a series of questions in Parliament on Wednesday about the troubled Conversation Tree road project.
According to the Order Paper for Wednesday’s sitting, Patterson asked Edghill for the contract sum and the construction period for the now terminated project. Trinidad company, Kalco Guyana Inc had not been able to deliver on time and an “amicable” agreement was reached with the ministry for its exit from the project.
“Can the Honourable Minister also provide this National Assembly with the total amount paid to the contractor, inclusive of advances, for the works done on the project?”, Patterson asked. A written reply is to be submitted by Edghill.
Patterson also enquired about the liquidated damages paid by the contractor together with other penalties associated with the “prolonged” delays.
