Ronaldo Appadu enjoys a nine-point lead over Colin Ross to sit atop the official jockey standings with 79 points heading into the marquee event of the year, the Guyana Cup, which is pencilled for August 11th.

This was confirmed by a release from the tournament officials. In 28 starts to date, Appadu has recorded nine wins, eight runners-up positions, and four third-place finishers.

On the other hand, Ross, who dominated in 2023, has tallied nine wins, six second places, and three third-place finishers.

Meanwhile, Yovin Kissoonchand rounds out the top three with six wins, four runners-up positions, and a third to sit on 45 points. Trinidadian Kiran Razack is in fourth on 44 points, with Nicholas Patrick rounding out the top five on 29 points.

Registration for the meet closes on August 3rd.
