Geraldine Quintyn 100 not out

The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security yesterday inducted Geraldine Agatha Quintyn into the club of centenarians.

Gee, as she is  fondly called by family members, was born in Lovely Lass Village, West Coast Berbice to Ram Dutchin and Beatrice Farrell and is the last surviving child of 10, a release from the ministry said. She had three brothers and six sisters one of whom was her twin sister Rosalind.

Geraldine survived her husband Samuel Quintyn who died in 1964.
