Dear Editor,
The counter offer for the teachers’ pay hike in the ongoing negotiations for 2024 it is posited is seven percent. This is a point five percent over the 2023 across-the-board public servants’ salaries increases.
With the rising cost of living levels, this offer is way off mark and unrealistic.
The government must make a better offer for the multi-year proposal under consideration.
