Anns Grove squeaked past Fruta Conquerors by a 2-1 score when the KFC Elite League continued last night at the National Training Centre, Providence.
Following a scoreless first half, Teon Stewart opened the scoring for Anns Grove as he found the back of the net in the 62nd minute. He then doubled his team’s advantage as he completed his brace in the 82nd minute.
The Tucville-based outfit would record a consolation goal in the 85th minute in the form of Dwayne Baptiste.
Due to the outcome, Anns Grove climb onto 14 points and leapfrog Monedderlust to sit in eighth place. On the other hand, it was the ninth defeat for the Fruta Conquerors unit, who remain in seventh position on 16 points.
