Guyana’s unbeaten run in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars Men’s U-19 Super50 competition was brought to a grinding halt yesterday as they suffered a nine-wicket defeat to Barbados in a thoroughly lopsided contest at the Arnos Vale Playing Field in Kingstown, St. Vincent.

Barbados won the toss, sent the Guyanese in to bat, and bowled them out for a paltry 58 in 33.4 overs before returning to chase it down in just 7.5 overs for the loss of one wicket.

From 42-1 in the 16th over, the Guyanese lost the remaining nine wickets for a mere 16 runs, in what can only be described as a collapse of epic proportions.
