Seven thoroughbred horses land here for Guyana Cup

Nova Sol, a Brazilian bred horse is expected to be one of the top contenders at the Guyana Cup come August 11 at the Rising Sun Turf in Berbice.

Ahead of the highly anticipated 2024 Guyana Cup, seven top-tier Thoroughbred horses from around the globe have touched down on Guyanese soil.

All seven horses are expected to be in action at the 16th edition of the Guyana Cup which is slated for August 11 at the Rising Sun Turf Club in Berbice.

Top of the chain is ‘Stat’, a five-year-old chestnut gelding hailing from Florida, USA. Bred with exceptional lineage as the grandson of the legendary Unbridled’s Song it has  impressive career earnings exceeding $260 million in international competitions.
