North East La Penitence, Festival City, and Road Warriors advanced to the quarterfinal section following hard-fought wins in the round of 16 section when the 10th edition of the ‘Keep Ya Five Alive’ Futsal Championship continued last night. Staged at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, North East La Penitence bested Albouystown 2-0. Both conversions were recorded in the first half off the boot of Leon Cort. The diminutive attacker opened the scoring in the seventh minute. He then sealed the result two minutes later, as he found the back of the net in the ninth minute.

On the other hand, Festival City squeaked past former champion Tiger Bay 1-0. Meanwhile, Road Warriors edged Kitty Hustlers 1-0. An own goal in the second minute proved to be the difference on the night.
