Dear Editor,
This needed piece of legislature will help to reduce the scourge of domes-tic violence that has been plaguing our women with rampant impunity. But, more work needs to be done. We further urge the government to (a) strengthen our laws by increasing and enforcing prison sentences and (b) passing a ‘quality of life’ law that includes reducing speeding on our roadways, strengthening laws against noise ordinances etc.
