‘Keep Ya Five Alive’ Futsal
Bent Street, Back Circle, and Gold is Money secured respective quarterfinal berths following hard-fought wins in the round of 16 when the 10th edition of the ‘Keep Ya Five Alive’ Futsal Championship continued on Wednesday night.
Staged at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, traditional giant Bent Street overcame North Ruimveldt 2-1. The combination of Adrian Aaron and Marcus scored one goal, respectively. For the loser, Jahaal Greaves etched his name on the score-sheet.
Back Circle overcame Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Linden 4-2 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended 1-1. Prior to the aforesaid conclusion, Stephen McLean netted for the East Ruimveldt outfit, while Jamal Bentick scored for the Lindeners.
