Selwyn Gray, a 46-year-old hire car driver from Leeds Village in Corentyne Berbice, was arrested on 2024-07-30 and charged on Friday with possession of a firearm without a licence and possession of ammunition without a licence.
Both charges were laid under Section 16(2)(a) of the Firearms Act, Chapter 16:05.
The defendant appeared at Albion Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Michelle Matthias. Both charges were read to him, and he pleaded not guilty.
He was placed on bail in the sum of $200,000 each. The case was postponed to 2024-08-13 for a report.
