The school bus that was completely destroyed by fire on Friday night outside of the Ministry of Education building on Croal Street, Georgetown, was an act of arson according to a Guyana Fire Service release.
The release informed that the 32-seat school bus, PWW 3323, was the property of the Government of Guyana.
The Fire Service stated that it received a call around 10.23 on Friday night and arrived at the scene at about 10.31. The fire was subsequently extinguished.
According to a police source, investigations are still ongoing to determine the alleged arsonist(s) and no arrest has yet been made.
