Last Wednesday the Guy-ana Tourism Authority (GTA) teamed up with the Cheddi Jagan Inter-national Airport to host a emancipation welcoming session for passengers. Passengers were greeted by a beautiful medley of African dances and drumming.
They were also presented with locally produced snacks, juices and tokens in keeping with the theme as Guyana was set to celebrate Emancipation on August 1st. Below are scenes from the welcoming session as shared on the GTA’s Facebook website.
