A disabled teenage boy perished in a fire at Imbaimadai Village, Region Seven (Cuyuni- Mazaruni), last Friday.
Region Seven Chairman Kenneth Williams told Stabroek News yesterday that the incident occurred on Friday evening. The boy was identified as 18-year-old Lendon Cornelius, who was left at home unattended.
The Guyana Fire Service is expected to launch an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Villagers are also clueless as to how the fire started.
