West Demerara giant Slingerz climbed atop the summit of the KFC Elite League following a 2-0 hard-fought victory over Santos on Saturday evening at the National Training Centre, Providence.
Goals on either side of halftime were enough to secure the win for the Vergenoegen-based outfit. Jamaican import Kemar Beckford broke the deadlock as he found the back of the net in the 24th minute. The result was eventually settled in the 90th minute as Sheldon Holder etched his name on the score sheet.
