Deputy Commander of Regional Division 4 ‘A’ Superintendent Barker led a team of Police officers and ranks from the division on a walkabout at Stabroek Market and its immediate environs on Thursday morning.
A statement from the police said that during the visit, the Police team met and interacted with vendors, shoppers, and other citizens on a number of issues, chief among them being safety and security.
The visit comes on the heels of one on Wednesday by President Irfaan Ali to the Bourda Market during which he ordered beefed up security.
