Twenty new Immigration ranks graduated on Friday, having successfully completed an intense six-week course at the Guyana Police Force’s Academy.
A release from the police said that the graduation ceremony was held at the Officers’ Training Centre, where the new recruits were presented with certificates and special awards.
Sergeant Hoosein coordinated the course. Over the last six weeks, the newly enlisted ranks underwent a structured, comprehensive curriculum, interactive classroom sessions, practical exercises, and theory.
Director of the Guyana Police Force’s Academy, Sonia Herbert, expressed confidence that the ranks are now fully equipped to excel in their roles and perform their functions and tasks professionally. She urged the graduates to remember the values that were instilled in them during the course. “Be the embodiment of professionalism, the champions of justice, and the guardians of our nation’s sovereignty,” she urged.
The valedictorian of the course was Constable 26793 Jasmin Wiggins.
