Montra, Mahdia, Titans, and Diamond secured their respective places in the semifinal round when the 2nd edition of the Kares ‘One Guyana’ T10 Tapeball Championship continued yesterday at the Enmore Community Centre ground, East Coast Demerara.

Montra Jaguars defeated Team Corruption by seven wickets. Batting first, Team Corruption recorded 110/6 in their allotment. Dejourn Charles recorded an unbeaten 58 while Keon Morris and Ntini Permaul added 25 and 12 runs, respectively. Ronsford Beaton and Parmesh Parsoram were the pick of the bowlers with 2-21, respectively.

In reply, Montra stormed to 114/3 in 8.1 overs. Anthony Bramble led the chase with 50, while Kevlon Anderson and Jonathan Foo supported with 24 and 15 runs, respectively. Keon Morris snared 2-26.

Mahdia thrashed the Tarmac Titans by nine wickets. Batting first, the Tarmac Titans were skittled for 68 in 9.2 overs. Jayadev Mana and Kenroy Cox tallied 21 and 15 runs, respectively. Raydon Austin and Deonarine Seegobin recorded 3-18 and 2-18 apiece.

In response, Mahdia raced to 69-1 in 4.2 overs. Ricardo Adams top-scored with an unbeaten 43.

Meanwhile, the Titans All-Stars thumped the Guards by 63 runs. Batting first, the Titans All-Stars amassed an imposing 161/5. Shemroy Barrington, Kemol Savory, and Keemo Paul tallied 41, 32, and 27 runs, respectively. In response, the Guards were restricted to 98/7, with Kevon Boodie and David Williams scoring 40 and 18 runs apiece. Nial Smith led the bowling effort with 2-22.

On the other hand, the Diamond Gunners edged the Brooklyn Youth Strikers by two runs. Batting first, Diamond scored 102/6 as Clint Jones spearheaded the batting with an unbeaten 34. Orin Gibson was the pick of the bowlers with 2-11. In reply, Brooklyn Youth Strikers ended on 100/8. Riyad Zaman and Ameer Mohamed tallied 28 and 27 runs, respectively. Dorian Grenion recorded 3-19 with the ball.

The semifinal segment will occur on August 24th at the National Stadium, Providence. Montra will oppose Mahdia at 15:00hrs, while Diamond Gunners will battle Titans All-Stars at 17:00hrs. The final will occur at 20:30hrs.
