President unveils master plan for $6b single mothers homestead

President Irfaan Ali’s master plan for the $6 billion homestead programme along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway has been completed, the Department of Public Information (DPI) announced yesterday.

According to  DPI, the head of state’s official social media page unveiled the master plan at a meeting with several government ministers, technical officials, and representatives from the banking industry. The project is expected to commence shortly, DPI said. President Ali had announced plans for the project during a media conference back in June.
