The body of a woman found in a trench alongside the Eccles landfill road has been identified as that of Angela Andrea Sooknanan, a 41-year-old woman of unsound mind of Thomas Street, Kitty, Georgetown.
According to police, the woman’s body was identified at around 15.00 hours on Monday afternoon by her father, Romel Sooknanan, a 76-year-old also of Thomas Street, Kitty.
The father told the police that Angela was of unsound mind. She had last visited her doctor on Thursday, August 8, and was treated for her illness.
On Friday, August 9, she asked her mother, Charlotte Sooknanan, for money to go to Diamond. Her body was later found in the trench at Eccles industrial site.
