Guyana departs today for CFU Boy’s U-14 Challenge Series

Guyana will depart local shores today to compete in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boy’s U-14 Challenge Series, which is slated to commence on Saturday and conclude on August 24th in the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has selected an 18-member roster for the impending Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boy’s U-14 Challenge Series, which is slated to occur from August 16th-24th in the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Guyana’s 18-member roster, which will feature in Tier 2 of the three division event, comprises: goalkeepers: Ezekiel Jackman and Kerwain Chance; defenders: Aaron King, Eshawn Chesney, Ezekiel Douglas, Garfield Jones, Isaac Taylor, Jaden Noble, and Simon Solomon; midfielders: Akeel Young, Damani Hardy, Emanuel Sinclair, Jaden Tasher, Kevin Bunton, Nyron Barrow, and Pharez Noble; and forwards: Jaden Christian and Mark Glasgow.

Guyana will open their campaign against Antigua and Barbuda on Saturday at 2:00pm. They will then oppose Barbados two days onwards at 11:00am before battling St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the 21st at 2:00pm. The Golden Jaguars will tackle the Cayman Islands in their final group fixture on the 23rd at 11:00am.

The event will feature an initial group stage section, with the respective winners advancing to the elimination round.
