US Ambassador Nicole Theriot recently met with Detective Superintendent Prem Narine and Assistant Superintendent Rodwell Sarrabo of the Guyana Police Force following their participation in the US-government sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) titled “Protecting Soft Targets against Terrorist Attacks.”
A release from the US Embassy said that as part of the visit, participants assessed terrorism prevention programmes and evaluated counterterrorism strategies that can be employed in their home countries.
During their meeting, Theriot emphasized the US Government’s commitment to deepening the partnership with Guyana, especially in areas of safety and security, to address shared challenges.
