The Demerara Volleyball Association made a clean sweep of the senior men’s, senior women’s, and U-19 men and U-19 women’s divisions, respectively, in the ‘One Guyana’ President’s Cup Championship at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.

Demerara defeated arch-nemesis Berbice by a 4-0 score in the respective divisional finals. In the senior men’s division, Demerara overcame Berbice via a 3-2 score-line to clinch the crown. On the other hand, Demerara thrashed Berbice 3-0 in the senior women’s segment.

In the U-19 men’s section, Demerara thumped Berbice 3-0. Meanwhile, Demerara secured the women’s U-19 title following a 2-1 victory over Berbice.

On the individual side, Alicia Davis and Corwyn Richards were adjudged the Most Valuable Players (MVP) for the senior women’s and men’s teams, respectively, while David Blair and Chelsea Bandoo copped the aforesaid award for the men’s and women’s U-19 divisions, respectively.

The event was administered by the Guyana Volleyball Federation.
