Paruima and Kako won the men and women divisional titles, respectively, when the Upper Mazaruni District Games Football Championship concluded at the Kamarang Community Centre ground, Region #7.
In the men’s division, Paruima bested Waramadong by a 1-0 score-line. Likewise, Kako defeated Waramadong in the women’s segment via the identical score.
The event was utilised to select the teams that will represent the region in the men’s and women’s division of the impending Heritage Games during the month of September in Georgetown. The selection process for other regions is currently underway.
