CWI Rising Stars U-17 2-Day
Guyana got their Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars 2-Day Championship off to a positive start yesterday against nemesis Trinidad and Tobago, as they trail by 108 runs at the Inshan Ali Park, Preysal in Trinidad.
After Guyanese skipper Jonathan Van Lange won the toss and inserted the home team, his bowlers began positively, getting the Trinidadian top order cheaply. At 27/3, things looked bleak for the hosts, but T&T skipper Brendan Boodhoo and Jayden Kent struck up a 94-run partnership to bring their side back into the game.
