The West Demerara Cricket Association (WDCA) will resume its season on Sunday with the commencement of the GH Renovations T20 Championship, which will be staged at several venues in the jurisdiction.
This was confirmed by a press release from the WDCA. According to the release, four matches will be conducted in the tournament, which will utilise an initial group stage format and comprise 20 teams.
At the Meten-Meer-Zorg ground, Sawpit will match skills with WFCT at 9:30am, and VNS will engage hosts Meten-Meer-Zorg at 1:30pm.
Meanwhile, Vipers will oppose Cornelia Ida at 9:30am, and Goed Fortuin will lock horns with AYSC at 1:30pm at the Goed Fortuin ground.
Over at the Belle Vue ground, the All-Stars will oppose Canal #2 at 9:30am, while the McGill Superstars will battle the home side at 1:30pm.
The winner of the event will pocket $200,000 and the championship trophy, while the runner-up will receive $50,000 and the corresponding accolade.
