Police on a cordon and search exercise near Bourda Market, Merriman’s Mall and North Road arrested a 37-year-old businessman on Thursday with 6.3 grammes of cocaine and a quantity of local currency.
According to a police press release, while on North Road, which has a known drugs block, police searched Yancy Garraway and found a whitish powder-like substance in a transparent plastic bag suspected to be cocaine, along with $206,200 and US$5 in his pants pocket.
He was told of the offence committed, cautioned, arrested and forwarded to Brickdam Police Station, where the suspected cocaine was weighed in his presence and amounted to 6.3 grammes, the release said,
