Werk-en-Rust man charged with two counts of simple larceny

Forty-year-old Brenton Charles of Lot 9 D’Urban and Camp streets, Werk-en-Rust, George-town, appeared on Friday before Magistrate Annette Singh at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court where he was charged with two counts of simple larceny.

Charles plead not guilty to both charges.

It was alleged that on Thursday, August 1, at New Market Street, Georgetown, he stole one television set valued $100,000, two amplifiers valued $300,000, speaker boxes valued $48,000, and $10,000 cash, all belonging to Sadiq Wahab.

It was also alleged that on August 14, he stole $2,200,000 belonging to Lokesh Doodnauth.
