Nicolette Fernandes advanced to the quarterfinal section in the women’s 40+ category of the World Squash Federation Masters, defeating Siobhan Parker 3-0 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, yesterday.
Fernandes, who won gold in the women’s 35+ section in the 2022 edition, earned her place in the final eight following a clinical performance. She prevailed 11-4, 11-2, and 11-2. She will now oppose local star Milja Dorenbos tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Richard Chin advanced to the round of 32 after defeating Bruno Van Der Schueren 11-3, 11-5, and 11-6 in the men’s 50+ section. He will now oppose Neal Murphy of India tomorrow.
