Undefeated defending champion, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), moved one step closer to retaining their title, thumping Santos 4-1 last night in the KFC Elite League at the National Training Centre in Providence.
It was the 16th win for the army unit, as the quartet of Ian Dooker, Kelsey Benjamin, Threvon Pluck, and Sherwyn Caesar found the back of the net in the sixth, 31st, 58th, and 75th minutes, respectively. On target in the loss was Stephon Reynolds in the 21st minute.
