It was another night of mixed results for Guyana in the 7th edition of the Winfield Braithwaite Caribbean Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championship, as the hosts won and lost three finals, respectively, at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

In the Schoolboys 9-10 (26Kg final), Aaron Fileen (Guyana) defeated Nervon Medrick (St. Lucia) via unanimous decision, while Ezekiel Bancroft (Guyana) defeated Zafar Al Sadig (T&T) via unanimous decision in the Schoolboys 13-14 (40Kg final).

Likewise, Ryan Rogers (Guyana) defeated Joshua Brathwaite (Grenada) via referee stoppage in the Schoolboys 13-14 (54Kg final).

However, Shawn Ramnath (T&T) defeated Akil Quintin (Guyana) via unanimous decision in the Schoolboys 13-14 (30Kg final), while Jaheem Alexander (T&T) defeated Dreshawn Willery (Guyana) via unanimous decision in the Schoolboys 13-14 (38Kg final), and Donne Sadhoe (Suriname) defeated Jemuel Jones (Guyana) via split decision in the Schoolboys 13-14 (44Kg final).

The event concludes today at the same venue. Guyana is the defending overall champion, a title they have yet to surrender since the event’s inception. Below is the complete list of results.
