The Guyanese pair of Trisha Hardatt and Danielle Manns have been selected as part of the West Indies U-19 Women’s team for the tour of the United Kingdom.

This was confirmed by a press release from Cricket West Indies (CWI) yesterday. According to the release, the tour is part of the team’s preparation for the impending ICC Women’s U-19 World Cup, which is pencilled for Malaysia from January 18th – February 2nd, 2025.

The release stated, “The tour will see the team participate in a series of highly competitive matches, including an England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) development tournament. This tournament will feature teams from Scotland and Ireland, with the West Indies U19 Women’s team guaranteed three T20 matches.”

The team is slated to arrive in the United Kingdom today.

Meanwhile, Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe stated, “This tour is a critical stepping stone in our preparation for the ICC Women’s U19 Cricket World Cup. The matches against strong international teams will test our players and help us fine-tune our strategies ahead of the global tournament.”
