A family of New Amsterdam is currently searching for a 42-year-old man who went missing while swimming in the Canje Creek during a family outing on Sunday.
Rayon Captain also known as “Chippy”, self-employed of Lot 401 Patrick Dam, Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam was last seen just around 5.15 pm on Sunday by relatives. At the time, he was swimming in the Canje Creek at New Forest, East Canje Berbice.
According to Captain’s wife, Ramrattie Williamson, 61, the family decided to head to New Forest for a family outing on Sunday.
