Caribbean Schoolboys Boxing Championship
Guyana retained their overall title for a record extending seventh time as the curtains came down on the Winfield Braithwaite Caribbean Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championship at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue on Sunday.
Guyana, who have yet to surrender the overall crown since the event’s inception six years prior, ended on 38 points, nine points ahead of silver medallist Trinidad and Tobago. St Lucia rounded out the top three on 13 points, relegating Suriname to fourth place by a mere point. Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda ended in fifth and sixth, respectively.
