(Trinidad Express) Trevist Nicholas appeared before a court Master yesterday charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend Kiefer Wilson.
Wilson died after she was struck by a car last week Tuesday as she was attempting to escape from a man who allegedly hit her on the head with a wheel spanner.
Her funeral service is expected to be held today.
Nicholas, 26 , of Maraval, faced Master Shabiki Cazabon before the San Fernando District Court. He was represented by attorneys Jason Jackson and Krysan Rambert.
Nicholas was remanded into custody and his sufficiency hearing was set for July 23, 2025. Nicholas can apply for bail in the intervening period.
A car crashed into Wilson while she was on the Solomon Hochoy Highway last Tuesday night. She was in the company of a friend and they both were fleeing from a man who had earlier hit Wilson in the head with a metal object. She was struck by the car while standing in the median of the highway.
Wilson celebrated her 27th birthday days prior to her death.
