Airy Hall maintained their perfect record in the East Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League as they thrashed Haslington 3-0 at the Buxton Community Centre ground.
Jason Ronaldo recorded the only conversion of the first half, as he found the back of the net in the 28th minute. Upon the resumption, Blair completed his double to increase the side’s advantage as he etched his name on the score-sheet in the 62nd minute.
Daniel Blair then made his presence felt as he scored three minutes later to seal the outcome.
With the win, Airy Hall preserved their perfect start of four consecutive wins and climbed atop the standings on 12 points. On the other hand, the loser drops to the eighth position and remains pointless.
Meanwhile, the second scheduled encounter between the Buxton Stars and Victoria Kings was abandoned due to a power failure. Which blanketed the venue in darkness. The match officials stated that the fixture will be rescheduled at a later date.
The event continues on Friday at the same venue with another doubleheader.
