Over 182 grammes of cannabis unearthed by police in Bartica raids

The Guyana Police Force has reported that Tuesday during separate operations in Bartica, 108 grammes of cannabis was found and one person is in custody while another is on the run.

Regarding the first operation, police ranks from Regional Division Number Seven searched the business premises of a 41-year-old businesswoman of 7th Avenue, Bartica, Essequibo River.

Upon arrival at the business place, police observed Travis Dover, who was on the premises at the time, actively parcelling what was suspected to be cannabis leaves, seeds, and stems into small transparent zip-lock bags. A total of 39 packets was confiscated in the presence of the suspect.
