(Trinidad Express) A 24-year-old woman died in a crash in Debe on Tuesday.
Kaylee Poonan was a passenger in a Mitsubishi Lancer car driven by her boyfriend.
Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole at around 5.30pm.
Poonan and the driver were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, where she died while being treated.
The driver remains in critical condition.
A video has emerged on social media showing the vehicle travelling at high speed, along the Debe Main Road shortly before the crash.
A social media post stated that the driver had just purchased the vehicle and was driving home.
In a Facebook post one day ago, she shared a photograph of a hand holding on to the door handle, with a note, “no joke, mans drive like if i have extra lives ”
