Following the success of the female drag racing class, the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) will introduce the women’s circuit racing division at the Caribbean Clash of Champions on November 9th-10th at the South Dakota Circuit.
This was disclosed in a release from the entity. According to the correspondence, “The female drag racing class has been a groundbreaking addition to the GMR&SC’s events, attracting several talented female drivers who have competed fiercely alongside their male counterparts. A historic moment was achieved at the last drag race when Malicia Lawrence became the first female driver to win a time bracket, clinching the victory in the 14-second class. This milestone victory has inspired the GMR&SC to promote women in motorsport further.”
