Guyana in trouble at 49/5 against Barbados at stumps

CWI Rising Stars U-17 2-Da

Guyana is currently in a precarious situation at 49/5, trailing by 139 runs against league leader Barbados in their third round of the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars U-17 2-Day at Gilbert Park in Trinidad and Tobago.

After an emphatic win against the Leeward Islands in their last match, the Guyanese lost their way by stumps despite turning in a decent bowling performance earlier on day one by bowling out the Barbadians for 188 in 60.2 overs.

The Bajans won the toss and elected to bat but lost an early wicket as Devon Wharton bowled Zachary Carter for a duck off the second ball of the innings.
