In a proactive effort to promote fire safety and preparedness, the Linden and La Grange Fire Stations yesterday hosted Fire Safety Camps, attracting a massive turnout of children.
The camps aimed to educate young participants on the importance of fire safety through a series of interactive and engaging activities, a Guyana Fire Service press release said. Throughout the day, the children learned vital fire prevention techniques, how to safely evacuate in case of a fire, essential fire safety dos and don’ts, and the basics of using fire fighting equipment, it added.
According to the release, the high attendance of 147 children and positive feedback from participants highlighted the success of the camp and the dedication of the Linden Fire Station in promoting fire safety education among the youths.
