The Guyana Police Force Academy launched Cohort 3 of the Junior Leaders Training Programme at the Officers’ Training Center, Eve Leary, earlier this week.
According to a Guyana Police Force (GPF) release, the core objective of the training courses is to provide developmental opportunities that enhance participants’ knowledge and equip them with essential skills to enrich the Guyana Police Force’s human resource capacity. Cohort 3 is the final phase of training which includes Junior Leaders Course One and Junior Leaders Course Two, running for six weeks until September 27. The courses are specifically designed for constables, lance- corporals, and corporals, with the aim of building a strong foundation for the next generation of police leadership in response to the evolving demands of contemporary policing, the release stated.
