CWI Rising Stars U-17 2-Day
Guyana stumbled to a crushing defeat yesterday against Barbados in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars U-17 2-Championship, losing by an innings and 46 runs at Gilbert Park, California, in Trinidad and Tobago.
Barbados, having made what seemed like a par total of 188 all out in their first innings on Wednesday, had Guyana teetering on 49/5 at stumps.
When Guyana resumed their innings, neither the Guyanese nor its skipper Jonathan Van Lange managed to add to their overnight scores as Zachary Carter picked up right where he left off on Wednesday by taking an early wicket, that of Van Lange for five.
