Headquarters and Tactical Service Unit (TSU) recorded contrasting victories when the Guyana Police Force (GPF) Commissioner’s T20 Championship continued yesterday at the Police Sports Club, Eve Leary.

Headquarters cruised to a convincing nine wicket victory against Region #6. Batting first, Region #6 failed to gain any momentum, as they were dismissed for a meagre 109 in 19.3 overs. R/C Corwin Mitchell made 32 [2x4s, 2x6s] off 33 balls, as Sergeant Ameer Mohamed claimed 3-20 and R/C Pernell London snared 2-24.

In response, Headquarters stormed to 110-1 in 11.1 overs. London struck four fours and three sixes in a top score of 54 off 28 balls, while LCPL Kanaiya Ramkaran made 24 with two fours and one six off 15 balls.

Meanwhile, TSU edged Region #3 by seven runs. TSU batted first and made 135-8 in their allotment. Damion Sardina scored 31 with four fours and one six, while Devon Joseph made 20. Adding 18 and 12 runs were Vibert Johnson and A. Burnett, respectively. Cons. Emanuel Chrisnauth captured 4-22, while Cons. Deral Archer and CPL. Leon Crawford had two wickets each.

In reply, Region #3 fell agonisingly close at 128-8 at the expiration of their overs. Chrisnauth top scored with 22 runs, while Cons. Hemraj Persaud, D. Hughes, and J. Anderson assisted with 17, 16, and 15 runs, respectively. Dequan Clarke snared 3-22, while Johnson and Sardina tallied two wickets apiece.
