A Canje security guard is now dead after falling from his motorcycle on the Palmyra Public Road on Monday.
Dead is Johnathan Andrews, 31, a security guard attached to Queensway Security and of Number Two Village, East Canje Berbice.
The incident occurred on Monday last around 11.30 pm while Andrews was operating motorcycle CN 4504.
According to the police, Andrews was proceeding along the road when he lost control and fell, sustaining injuries about his body. He was eventually found and picked up by passersby and taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he was treated and subsequently transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital. He was further treated and admitted to that hospital. However, he later succumbed.
