A new champion will be crowned today as the Kares One Guyana T10 Tapeball Tournament will conclude at the National Stadium, Providence.
With four teams remaining, all of them will be feeling confident that they can lift the trophy and capture the $1.5M first prize.
The first semi-final is set for 3:00pm between Montra Jaguars and Mahdia (Movements Family), followed by Titans All-Stars versus Diamond Gunners at 5:00pm. An exhibition match for charity is then slated for 7:00pm, with the final at 8:30pm.
Admission to the venue is free and fans will have the opportunity to win smartphones compliments of ENet and tickets to the Caribbean Premier League matches in Guyana.
The Green Stand will be the main seating area, and if filled, the Red Stand will be used.
There will also be a free kids zone compliments of Banks DIH.
On the business side of things, each of the losing semi-finalists today will take home $250,000, compliments of Premier Insurance.
The runners-up will cash out $500,000 compliments of Superbet Guyana, and the winner pockets $1.5M from Star Rentals.
On the individual side of things, players can secure the titles of Most Runs, Most Wickets, and Player of the Final with each awardee receiving a Smart TV and a $75,000 cash prize compliments of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre.
Assuria Insurance will present a motorbike, and $85,000 to the Most Valuable Player.
Additionally, $100,000 will be split equally between the Kawasaki Super Striker of the tournament (player with the highest strike rate – minimum of 12 balls) and the Most Economical bowler (lowest economy rate – minimum of 24 balls).
